Driving Growth

June 5, 2017

As May up-shifts to June, we finally see a break in this super rainy Spring season! And what a great sunny, Monday too! We have been hard at work with some Private Label MFG, and continuing the parts development for the R35 GT-R platform. I am definitely happy with the progress that has been made within the company this year, but there are some changes coming soon that will allow us to serve many more clients and provide more hand made, high end automotive products to even more motorists. Within every attempt at a "great achievement" there will always be failures and set backs, so I thought I would share one challenge that has proven to be particularly difficult and later explain how it relates to "Driving Growth"...pun intended.

At this point in time we were really hoping, and had expectations of, being in our "new location" already. I put it into quotations because as some know, that "new space" has changed about 5 times this spring. After making multiple attempts at buying a location and not succeeding, we decided that if we had any hopes of making something happen in 2017 that it was going to need to be a rental. So fast forward to Today, we have a very promising new option that we are pursuing with excitement! With any luck, 3 months from now we will be up and running in our new Lacey, Wa shop space.

"Managing Sustainable Growth" is a term that should be a part of every entrepreneur's vocabulary, and it has certainly been the lens that I have used to look through to evaluate every decision with up to this point.  Without much physical space to grow, I have been forced to do things like manage my space better and organize more effectively, manage by time and coordinate projects more carefully. All of these are great tools for a great business, but on a certain level you still have to be the driving force behind the growth that you then have to manage as it comes into fruition, so it is very important to choose the growth that you want....or "pick your line" if you will. To finish, I just wanted to say to anyone out there that is facing hurdles in their life or business that you can always push yourself in other areas and that it will often contain the solution to that challenge you are facing! Cheers and have a great week to all, dont forget to leave us a comment in the box below if you have any thoughts or questions!
